Carl is a happy guy who enjoys designing new stuff, whatever his creation may lead him to.

The Story of My Life

It all started when he was born into a family of an older sister, Anna-Karin, and a younger brother, Viktor. At early age, Carl was a shy and quiet kindergarten kid, who mostly enjoyed reading or practising his magic tricks.

In school, Carl learned that knowing stuff can be pretty useful, so he decided that one day, he would know it all. He ordered new dinosaur info-cards for his dino-folder, and studied each card very carefully, memorizing the weight of a Triceratops, and the tail-lenght of a Stegosaurus. While this knowledge may seem extraneous to some, Carl ,even to this day, scores many points every time he plays Trivial Pursuit - The Dinosaur Version thanks to this knowledge.

In his early teens, Carl's father asked him if he would like to move with his family to South Africa. At first, he thought his father was just teasing, but when he didn't smile, Carl knew it was for real. He wanted to shout for joy, but the still shy and quiet little boy inside of him told him not to. You see, When Carl started 7th grade, he went to a new school with very limited resources. Also, most of his classmates didn't care much for school, and neither did Carl. He started getting worse and worse grades, and if his father hadn't asked him that question, who knows what would have become of our hero?

At an age of 14, Carl and the greater part of his family packed their belongings and moved to South Africa. For Carl, this meant a new country, a new house and a new life. He started as a freshman in the American School of Johannesburg, which, for him, was like starting school all over again. Suddenly the teachers had time to answer his questions and complimented his work. Some even argue that Carl learned more during his two years in South Africa than he had during his previous school years in Sweden.

For summer, the family went home to Sweden to visit friends and relatives. Carl went with his friends to a camp called Hampe, where he met a very attractive young girl, called Frida. She had the most beautifully curled hair he had ever seen. They soon became friends, and one time they stayed up the whole night just talking and watching the stars.

As Carl is not famous for his longterm memory, the years in South Africa took their toll, and Carl soon forgot about his newfound friend. Instead, he began playing the guitar and started skateboarding.

It was a few days after New Year's Eve 2001, two years after Carl and his family had moved back to Sweden and Carl started an IT-programme at his new high school, when he recieved a call from his sister. Normally, there was nothing peculiar with his sister calling him, but this time she told him they had been to a New Year's party in Stockholm. The family they visited was called Karlström, and that's when it all came back to him. Karlström...Frida Karlström! He remembered her blue eyes, and her blonde, curly hair. This time Carl wasn't scared, they called each other, their ears connected and eventually they decided they would meet. Carl and some friends were going to Stockholm for a night out, so they met up with Frida who came along. They sat next to each other in the movies, but afterwards Carl couldn't remember much from the movie, his eyes had been somewhere else. But it wasn't until a couple of weeks later that they finally became a couple.

This reborn love made Carl's studying just fly by, and soon it was time for graduation. Like many other newly graduated, Carl asked himself "What should I do now?" His friend, Simon, had the answer. After a nice summer break, they went to visit Simon's relative in Florida, and stayed there for five weeks. It truly was a remarkable stay, and with that, a whole story of it's own. Five weeks can be a long time away from your love, but as it happens, Frida went on a journey on her own to study Italian in Florence. After six months she had learned a lot of Italian words, such as "Gucci," "Prada," and "Roberto Cavalli."

On returning home, Carl decided he wanted to earn some money, and got a job as an IT-administrator at a local middleschool. After working for some months, Carl's thirst for knowledge told him it was time to go back to school. Although he technically already was in a school, he decided to quit his job, move to Stockholm (closer to his love) and started studying at KTH to become a civil engineer within industrial economics. Coming from a small town, Carl soon felt very lonely in the big city, and he, who had always considered himself good at math, suddenly found himself not knowing the answers to the exams. After a while, it all just became too much for him, and he quit school, and moved back home. There, he got another job, selling cellphones. Meanwhile, Carl and Frida's relationship had come to critical point where something needed to happen. Both of them knew inside that they were meant for each other, so during springbreak they went to Raja, made a trip to Borgahällan and Carl went down on his knees and popped the question. With a sigh of relief, he recieved a happy "yes" as a reply.

Carl started a new job as a salesman in an electronics store, and Frida studied to become an esthetician. Time passed by and soon the day came that they walked the aisle and gave their vows in church. Carl had never been happier in his whole life.

The newlyweds moved into an apartment in Eskilstuna, where Frida graduated as an esthetician and started working at a local spa. Carl once again followed his inner voice and started school like so many times before. And to this day, Carl is set out to finally reaching his main goal in life, to know it all.
